Education Classes

Register online at www.sbcc.edu/AdultEd. Registration for Genealogy classes begins at 8:00 a.m. on August 26. If there are other classes you want to view now, you can do so http://sbcc.augusoft.net/

You must have an email address in order to register online. There are no course fees charged for the genealogy classes.

In association with Santa Barbara City College, Adult Education classes in Family History are available without a fee thanks to a fund established by the International Academy. Their gift honors founder (and our SBCGS member), Eric Boehm, for his life-long commitment to history and biography.

Family History Research:
Beginning to Intermediate
Solve the mystery of your family history. If you are just starting or returning to your genealogical research, this hands-on class will help you. Explore census, vital records; examine military, naturalization and arrival documents. Sharpen internet searching skills and learn research strategies. Limit 45. Co-sponsor: Santa Barbara County Genealogical Society.

Family History Research:
Intermediate/Advanced
Beyond the basics—the search continues. Learn of additional sources that may provide more details of your ancestors or help unravel those vexing problems that stump us all at some point. Problem-solving methodology will be emphasized. Limit 70. Co-sponsor: Santa Barbara County Genealogical Society.
