There are no currently scheduled bus trips

On Thursday, April 23, your genealogy society will sponsor a van trip to two libraries: The LDS Regional Family History Center and the Los Angeles Central Library. You will have approximately four hours in the library of your choice.

The van will leave the OSH parking lot in the Fairview Shopping Center at 8 A.M, stop in Carpinteria at IHOP, if requested, by 8:30, then go to the Los Angeles Central Library to drop off people then on to the LDS FHRC library. The van will leave the LDS FHRC library at 3:30 P.M. to return to the Los Angeles Central Library by 4:00 P.M. then back to Goleta by 6:00 P.M.

The cost of this trip is $35.00. If you are interested in going, please contact Gary Shumaker at sbgenmail@gmail.com. or call him at 687-0065. Because there is limited space, he will need to have your check before April 18. If there are not ten people reserving on this trip, it will be cancelled.

If you decide to go to the LDS FHRC library, plan on bringing your lunch. There are several places to have lunch near the Los Angeles Central Public Library.

This may be your last chance to use the LDS library for awhile; they will close on April 26 for a remodel. You may want to check their web site before you go.
